Made for us by ValvePower UK (valvepower.co.uk), this choke is intended as a replacement for the chokes fitted to JMI-era Vox AC30/4 and AC30/6 amplifiers.
The original part numbers that this will replace include PE241 (Albion units), 66429 (Parmeko) and 66311 and J/84 (earlier Woden) or 76854 (later Woden). This choke uses original-specification laminations, SRPB bobbin and 94mm (3.7”) mounting hole spacing.
Check the dimensions, mounting arrangement and electrical specification against your particular amplifier before installation. However, because these transformers use original-specification laminations, the bolt holes should correspond to original 1960s dimensions without requiring any modifications or new holes to be drilled. You should also be able to re-use your existing shroud and bolts if you would like to do so, although use of the supplied insulated washers is advised.
