Purveyors of fine amplifiers and parts thereof

To own a classic amp is not just to own a piece of music heritage: well-maintained vintage amps offer unparalleled classic tones and touch-sensitive playability, allowing you to hone your own unique sound through practice, recording and performance. Better still, many are hand-wired so they are significantly easier to service and repair than their modern equivalents.

When restoring a vintage amp, my objective is to preserve - often to restore - the authentic feel and sound of an amp. I take great care to maintain as much originality as possible and I test, and replace only where necessary, any failed or failing components. The amps I play and sell are ready to make music, not to gather dust in a museum.

As well as a selection of vintage amps this is also home to a range of spares for vintage (and some modern) amps, mostly JMI and Vox, many of which were previously offered by North Coast Music which closed in 2024.

You will also find some carefully selected guitars on offer. These are usually high-end instruments that I found too good to turn down and are offered to customers at very competitive prices.

Everything on offer is serviced, set up and working just as it should but, for complete peace of mind, amps are also inspected by a well-established and highly qualified amp tech (JB Amp Repairs of Poole) before being offered for sale and they will come with his brief condition report and (in most cases) PAT tested.
