Authentic vintage vibes for modern musicians
The Amporium’s mission is to restore and offer vintage guitar amplifiers for guitar players to use and enjoy. Stop back regularly as we’re continually adding new amps.
We also usually have several amps that are waiting for work or just waiting on photos and listing, so get in touch if you are looking for (or looking to part with) vintage Vox, Fender, Marshall equipment.
As well as restored and serviced amplifiers, you will also find a unique range of parts to help you service and restore your own equipment. These are mostly (but not exclusively) for Vox amps and many are not available elsewhere.
We also sell a few hard-to-find used speakers and parts and some carefully selected guitars from time to time.
Whether you’re a guitar owner who dreams of pairing classic amps with your vintage guitars, a gigging musician seeking a classic backline or working in the studio, owning a vintage amp can be an investment that lasts you a lifetime.
New ‘Coming soon’ page
Where ‘Sold Out’ means ‘Enquire within’ …
Because I am so slow to write full listings (and do all the research around shipping costs) I have now put up a ‘Coming Soon’ page.
There you will find quick descriptions and photographs of the amps that I am working on or have recently finished, but are not yet fully photographed and listed.
These will show as ‘Sold Out’ but (in this case) that just means that I haven’t finished the listing. Drop me a line if you are interested in any of these amps as I can often bump them up the queue or agree a sale on them if they take your fancy.
Currently the list includes:
Watkins Dominator 1963/4
Vox AC4 1964
Choice of two early ‘60s Watkins Westminsters
Gibson G18T Explorer 1959
Vox AC100 head and cab (choice of two heads)
Hiwatt DR103 (original Highlight period)
Fender Bassman Export 50w (early silverface) head
