Fane Pop 50 15” Vintage Guitar Speakers (Pair) 50W 15 ohm
A pair of Fane ‘Pop 50’ 15” speakers from the late 60’s, both with original cones in excellent condition.
These were removed from an AC30x cabinet that had been bought sometime around 1968 and used as a 2x15 speaker cabinet. From the condition of the cabinet and these speakers, it did not get heavy use or abuse - both are in excellent condition.
These are beautiful vintage Fane drivers in superb condition cosmetically and functionally. They are getting quite rare, especially these 15” versions. These are great sounding vintage speakers and - as a bonus - they are really quite light at 3.83kg / 8lb 7oz each.
Nominally a 15 ohm speaker, these are probably more like 12 ohm in practice (resistance measures around 10 ohms). Suitable for the 16 ohm output of the amp (or 8 ohm if you wire them in parallel).
These have been carefully and they are in superb condition. There is no coil rub and no damage to the cones or the spider. The glue visible around the dust caps is original (from the factory) and the dust caps are in perfect condition. All the terminals are unmolested and cleanly connected with no issues. They test perfectly with a frequency generator and sound excellent.
