Gibson Les Paul Traditional, light burst, Left handed
Gibson USA Lefty Les Paul Traditional T in Light Burst made in 2016
This is a comission sale for a close friend of the Amporium. A lovely 2016 left handed LP traditional with flame maple top in a light burst finish, mahogany body and neck and a rosewood fingerboard.
This Gibson Les Paul Traditional features a beautiful AA flamed maple top in a light burst finish (‘iced tea’ burst, perhaps?), weight-relieved but resonant mahogany body, a 12” radius ‘50s rounded neck and a pair of 57 Classic humbucker 1 and 2s with the bridge slightly overwound for some punchier lead sounds.
The ‘57 classics are traditionally wound pickups with real warmth and presence and the traditional weight relief lets this guitar sustain forever while keeping the guitar to a respectable 4.15kg (9.1lb) on the shoulder strap.
The condition of this guitar is excellent with no significant dings or dents. The back has a little light scratching (very mild ‘buckle rash’) while the top and back of the neck have a few much lighter swirls and light scratches. The neck is straight and the truss rod operates properly in both directions. The frets are recently dressed and the guitar has been very well set up with a good action - fairly low and with no buzzing or choking anywhere on the neck.
The metal hardware, including the pickup covers, polishes up nicely and the tuners operate smoothly. The wiring appears completely undisturbed, with the original Gibson pots and neat soldering visible in the pics.
The guitar comes with its original hardcase and all the all the ‘case candy’ shown including the factory inspection card, a photo of the guitar at the factory and even the Guitar Guitar inspection card from when the guitar was first sold.
This is a lovely, honest lefty LP that looks beautiful and plays really well (if only I was left handed!)
