Not really vintage, but that rarest of animals: a Fender with a great drive channel! This is the 60W version of this modern classic in great condition, fully checked over and with very little evidence of use.
The Fender Super-Sonic 60 is a modern classic which offers vintage-inspired tone with a contemporary edge. It has two foot-switchable independent channels, one with two vintage-inspired sparkling clean sounds and a second with a highly saturated ‘cascaded’ overdrive.
The clean channel delivers classic fender clean tones and can be set to a bright ‘Vibrolux’ or darker, fatter ‘Bassman’ voicing (also foot-switchable). These break up fairly early, but with 60W on tap there is adequate headroom for great Fender clean tones. The ‘burn’ channel is the stand-out feature of the amp, however and it offers everything from smooth crunch to high-gain distortion, all controlled via the amp’s intuitive two-stage gain and volume settings.
There is a valve-driven reverb that works on both channels and an entirely valve-driven effects loop for integrating pedals and external effects. The effects loop can be jumpered and used as a valve-driven boost using the footswitch.
With 60 watts of power through a 12-inch speaker, its all-valve circuitry ensures warm, responsive dynamics, capturing the essence of vintage tube amps with modern reliability making it ideal for gigging musicians and studio players alike. This 2007 amp is in excellent condition and all working as it should. It has just been serviced and will come with a dust cover, foot switch and cable and a printed copy of the manual and is packaged in its original carton. It will also come my amp tech’s brief report and a new (October 2025) PAT test.
